Hi Mayer,
I hope this mail finds you well.
This is to let you know how much I enjoy working with my new tuning hammer of your design.
It features the adequate stiffness, with wonderful lightness and precision.
It definitely improves not only the tuning of the pianos, from a "mechanical" point of view, but also the process of tuning, ergonomically speaking, which is of course a blessing for the tuners!
Thank you again for this innovative and flexible tool, which is, by the way, of superb esthetics.
I wish you all the best,
Arno

Mayer,
I'm just letting you know that I am very pleased with the head assembly that I purchased
from you last week. It fits my Fujan hammer really well and I am very excited to
be able to change tips and/or head angles without unnecessary expense and trouble.
I'm hoping to attend the convention in Grand Rapids. If I make it, I'll stop by
your booth and say hi. All the best,
Eric Davis
Dear Mayer, Your carbon fiber tuning hammer is working great for me. I love the
fact that there is virtually no flex in the hammer. This gives me much more control
and makes it easier to achieve a very fine and stable tuning. The design of the
ball handle is very comfortable. It fits nicely in my hand, without causing any
undesired muscle strain. Another great thing is that you can order a custom size
main shaft, and then use the extension for extra length when needed. Thank you for
making my job easier and more comfortable.

From the moment I placed the order for a CF tuning hammer with Mr. Gluzman and the
time I received it, Mr. Gluzman has called me at least six times, making sure that
the hammer would fit my existing head assemblies, and that everything would be perfect.
I live in Canada! Service and true dedication like this, I have never seen before.
Ten days later, the postman brought a solid cardboard cylinder, and from the sendee's
address, I knew right away that it was the hammer, but the package did not weight
much more than if it had been enclosing documents, the first sign of the lightness
of the tool. And when opened, my first impression was how nice the hammer was, with
it's marble-like tubing and the cherry wood knob. I showed it to my wife, when she
came back from work, and she went " wow!"
The lightness of the hammer is what makes it so valuable for me, you simply do not
have to carry that heavy extension steel lever on top of the pins anymore, this
hammer is so easy to move around. So whatever tension builds up in the hammer is
due to the pin, not to the hammer, creating that " intimacy" effect that Mr. Gluzman
explains on his site. The explanation of this phenomenon lies in the physics notion
of " inertia", the reluctancy of a heavy object to move.
The hammer does not flex at all, it is completely rigid, even at the head assembly
joint, thanks to high grade machine treads, very narrow and extending way inside
the lever, and this acts as a natural complement to the light weight.
Because tuning and stability are based so much on the "feel", a sensation inside
the hand and wrist and shoulder, more than any intellectual concept, the better
the feel of the pin, the better the accuracy. I have experienced finding the right
spot on the high treble unisons in half the time that I needed before, and regularly,
hitting the perfect spot in a single pull like magic.
I am convinced that this hammer will improve my tuning stability as well, because
setting the pin, either by rotating slightly to the flat side or by flag-poling
requires the very light touch that this hammer is capable of providing better than
any other hammer I have had before.

Hello Mayer,
I have been in the business for almost 40 years, 27 of them as the head technician
of the Eastman School of Music. In that time I have acquired a collection of hammers:
3 Tuner supply, 2 Schaff, a Jahn, aYamaha, Itoshin, and several Watanabe tips. However,
your carbon fibre hammer is truly in a class by itself.
During the last three weeks, I have tried it on old jumpy-pin uprights, super-tight
pinblocks, loose and mushy blocks, and on several performance Steinway grands. In
every case, I feel that the tuning product has been improved and/or rendered with
greater ease.
The thing I like most about your hammer is the great increase in pin feedback. Because
of its stiffness, the hammer transmits every nuance of what the pin is doing. I
find micro adjustments much easier to make. I am better able to get the pins to
feel more stable and "at rest" when I am done and ready to move to the next one.
The second thing I like is the light weight of the hammer. As you make hammer moves
one way and the other, you don't have as much inertial mass to change direction.
This really adds up, in the shoulder, after a few hundred pins. Also changing from
pin to pin is so easy and the feel is so balanced.
The third feature I appreciate, is the ability to put on the 2 inch extension. I
don't use it normally, but with certain jumpy-pin pianos or really tight pin blocks,
it is a God-send. With all my old extension hammers, if I pulled them out to the
longer length, they became so springy that they were hard to control. With the carbon
fiber, there is no loss in control because there is no springiness in the longer
length. My 65 year old shoulder really welcomes the relief of having that extra
torque when needed.
I also am grateful that you have made a hammer that can use my current investment
in heads and tips. I suppose every tuner has his favorite tip(s), (pun intended).
It is really appreciated that we don't have to side-line these and have to purchase
expensive new proprietary heads and tips.
Your hammer is a great product and I would not give it back to you for double my
money back. I thank you for making this wonderful tool available.
Best Wishes,
Joseph Balconi, Rochester, NY
Mr. Gluzman, I received the other tuning hammer and it's just fine. Thank you!
I've purchased other tuning hammers in the past and usually end up putting them
away and going back to a hammer that I've used for almost 30 years.
Not anymore! The new hammer you made for me is "the one"! It just feels and works
better for me. Thank you.....

I had purchased mine Carbon tuning hammer from Mayer Gluzman and am very happy with
it...
The biggest advantage is: I can use all my old sockets and heads on it...
Took me very little time to get used to it and control is very good...
A few times i tried to use my old tuning hammers for comparison, and new one feels
a lot better...
